JAzakallah Khayr for everyone that voted for us to try and get through to the GPU, unfortunately we did not get through on this occasion. The Overall Group winner was Kamal Uddin.

In our group we had Aashiq-ul-Rasool, Kamal Uddin and No Beats Necessary from Australia (Unfortunately we were placed in a REAL tough group which also coincidentally contained 3 Non musical Nasheed Group (Us, Kamal Uddin and NBN). Out of the total 16 Contestants only 4 groups were non musical the other one being Abdullah Rolle which was voted out last week.

Would have been ideal if all 4 Non Musical Group were seperate and all went through to the grand final, however this was not the case for one reason or another.

However us as Labbayk wishes to congratulate Kamal Uddin and hope he makes it through to the final as now being the Only Non Musical Nasheed Artist left in the Competition with the hope of bringing back sanity into the what sadly is now a whole pop culture of nasheed with music

With the name of Allah, the All Merciful, the Very Merciful.

On the 23rd of August 2008, the Turkish Radio station Hedef Radyo based in Ankara, Turkey hosted by Ali Osman Metin. the radio station which has over 20,000 listeners aired Labbayk’s “Subhanallah” nasheed from the new album Rhymes of Praise. The nasheed hit the charts as Number One, All Praise and Thanks are due to Allah!

You can listen to Ali Osman Metin on the Turkish Chart Show Every Saturday at 16:30pm (UK TIME) on Hedef Radyo.

Islamchannel are running a GPU nasheed competition where viewers get the chance to vote for a nasheed artist they would like to perform at the Global Peace and Unity Event in London in October. Artists submits their videos and they are then played over a period of 4 shows with 4 groups per show!

We have submitted our video for the nasheed Subhanallah and this will be Aired on IslamChannel Inshallah on Saturday 13th September 2008 Inshallah - Program starts at 5pm but our Nasheed we been told will be on around 5.20PM Inshallah so do watch and Vote for us Inshallah!
